Deep fuel beds or full depth fuel beds are featured on fires designed for older homes with traditional brick built chimneys. These are known as Class 1 Chimney Fires.

WHAT TYPES OF GAS FIRES ARE AVAVAILABLE?
No chimney? No problem!
Increasingly modern new build homes in the UK are produced without a conventional chimney. This used to mean that the only option was to have an electric fire. Fortunately the gas fire types below are available and they don't require a chimney.
Glass Fronted Gas Fires
Many styles are available including hole-in-the-wall and inset designs. The glass panels are easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance. They offer high efficiency to help reduce fuel bills.

Traditional Gas Fires -
Suited to more traditional styled houses with a classic look. Usually inset traditional fires fit a standard opening of 550mm X 420mm. Common finishes for tradional style fires are brass or black.

Contemporary Gas Fires
Designed to compliment modern setting. A large range is available including inset fires, wall mounted, and hole-in-the-wall fires. Surrounds come in a variety of styles such as stone, brushed steel, and chrome. Various fuel bed effects are also on offer for customising your fire to your personal taste.

Wall Mounted Gas Fires
Also known as hang-on-the-wall gas fires are a great way to save space in a small room. Open fronted fires are used more as a decorative feature as they tend to lose heat up the chimney. A glass fronted wall fire is generally a better option if more heat is needed.

Outset Gas Fires
Usually styled to a more traditional look, Outset fires offer high heat output and are suitable for most chimney types. They can also be installed on a hearth, fireplace, or wall hanging.

All installations are carried out by expert fitters who are fully qualified with Gas Safe and HETAS Certificates.
